What does it mean to take up your cross and follow Jesus? Luke 9:23. Putting Jesus first, what He wants, what He is calling you to do. Instead of the selfishness of the human nature it’s the self-controlled one, one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Renewing your mind and focusing on HIS word. What hardships and suffering do we really know? I know I have had to endure certain mental hardships. I don’t struggle with them now as a new creation. I give them to the Creator of my mind, the Creator of all things.
What does it mean to be called? There are other words, summoned, invited, appointed, a depper sense of vocation and a ministry. I’m called to whatever the Lord puts in front of me. I have been working on knitting for a while now and I have been distributing it to different places. That’s what my calling is right now. Call it knitting, call it whatever you want. It’s a mission to share the Lord with people through my knitting. I have a tag on each of my knitting projects Psalms 139:13-14. That’s what my job has been.
Transformation: There has been a work that God has been doing in my life. I cannot explain it. He has shown me kindness and goodness. 2 Timothy 1:9. He saved us and called us to be His own people, not because of what we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace. He gave us this grace by means of Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
